The Source of Power
The Source of Power
This morning it was eggs and a biscuit for breakfast. I like to do my eggs in the blender with sour cream and a tablespoon of water.
I greased the frying pan and began to preheat it. Next, I pressed the button on the blender. Nothing happened! I pushed it again. Silence.
Repeat.
Nothing.
I checked the alignment. That was OK.
Next, I tried the socket and the breakers.
I tried again to no avail. The pan was getting too hot so I removed it.
I poured the ingredients into a bowl, hand-mixed them, before pouring them into the pan. The omelet was ok but not what I really wanted it to be.
After breakfast, I went to check the blender again. Pushing the buttons, I received the same response...nothing! At this point, I began to contemplate the purchase of a new appliance. Maybe I could find a deal online.
I reached for the wire to unplug and remove the useless machine from the countertop. To my surprise, the cord was completely loose. It was not plugged in!
I plugged it in, hit the button and "
VOILÀ", it worked.
The lesson learned was that even when you push the right buttons and have all the right ingredients, you won't get the right results if you are not connected to the power source.
But indeed for this
the purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My
power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.
Exodus 9:16 NKJV
Your right hand, O Lord, has become glorious in power;
Your right hand, O Lord, has dashed the enemy in pieces.
Exodus 15:6 NKJV
God has spoken once,
Twice I have heard this:
That power belongs to God.
Psalms 62:11
