UPDATE ON PRAY FOR THE BAY
UPDATE ON PRAY FOR THE BAY
from Randy & Barbara Walter
Shiloh Ministries
Tangier’s Mayor Eskridge called to say, after the best commercial crabbing season in living memory, the oyster harvest was “tremendous, one of the best seasons anybody can remember.” Watermen knocked off early most days because they had already caught their limit.
The government and media now acknowledge the crab and oyster populations in the bay are rebounding. State agencies attribute this to stricter regulations. We agree with the islanders, who give God the credit. In the year since we sailed to Tangier on the Joshua Run and prayed with the residents, the mayor said, lots of people on the island talk about how the Lord has provided, even those who aren’t practicing Christians.
SPIRITUAL WARFARE
We wanted to give you a report on our stake planting. We wrote what you told us on the stakes and have so far planted one in Maryland on the Maryland/Virginia line, one within sight of the bay bridge tunnel in Kiptopeake, VA, and on the Native American Day of Prayer, one at the Indian River Inlet, which flows into the Ocean in Sussex County, DE.
We have prayed at representative churches in six counties – two in Virginia, three in Maryland and one in Delaware – for repentance and revival and open doors for us to speak on prayer.
This week we received two invitations: one at Belle's church to teach and one for Randy to lead prayer for the media on the NDP in Delaware.
We appreciate your friendship and all you've taught us. Looking forward to seeing you again,
